Will Brooker gave a lecture at Falmouth University, earlier this year, which covered such as… The Dark Knight film/s. Here’s the full lecture, which has recently become available.
Brooker is the author of Hunting the Dark Knight: Twenty-First Century Batman.
Finally, How It Should Have Ended have tackled The Dark Knight Rises. I agree with all the plot holes that they point out.

So, comics book writer Paul Dini won’t be coming back to the Arkham games series for the time being, confirms Comic Book Resources.

People, you couldn’t make this up (though someone obviously has). Acording to an article I had a peek at this morning, the character of Bane has been created for The Dark Knight Rises solely for the purpose of further discrediting the Republican candidate for the upcoming US elections. Seriously.
Rush Limbaugh is so convinced of the above, that he’s managed to ignore the trail of Bane that goes back further than Nolan’s film career plus a certain film from the 1990s.
The connections has been “made” due to Romney, once-a-upon-a-time, being a part of an investment fund called Bain Capital. BC doesn’t have a particularly fab past and so bringing up Bane so close to an election seems - to Limbaugh - to be some kind of devious ploy by lefties.
Meanwhile, someone has launched an excellent spoof Twitter account called Bane Capital, from who the above image comes from. They provide such satirical messages as:
Our Chairman’s mask feeds him a steady flow of gas to ease pain from a past injury. Much like the steady flow of taxpayer money to our firm.
Brilliant.

Hopefully this time next week I will have seen the complete trilogy

According to reports from a press conference, The Dark Knight Rises is partially based on A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Must be all that French Revolution vibe that the Dickens novel has…
The “reveal” came out during a recent press conference where Nolan also suggested that they weren’t so much influenced by current political and economic issues (such as the Occupy Movement), but rather classic social struggles that had been illustrated in literature.
You can read more from the press conference over at Superhero Hype.
